This year's Songkran celebration in Thailand will see an increase of 38 fights to deal with high travel demands during Thailand's Songkran festival, which is extended to five days from April 12-16 this year, the Civil Aviation Office of Thailand, or CAAT, has announced the addition of 38 extra flights.

These flights, which will be operated by six different airlines, will total 104 unique journeys, giving 17,874 additional seats for the forthcoming holiday season. These additional flights are scheduled for April 11-12 and April 15-16. They will connect passengers to vital regional airports in Phuket, Chiang Mai, Samui, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen. This initiative not only addresses the issue of high demand but also promotes a more balanced distribution of travel flow, potentially easing congestion at airports and on popular routes.

As Songkran approaches, these measures are intended to provide unforgettable travels for thousands of people, representing the festival's theme of cleansing, rejuvenation, and happy reunion.
