His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, Sultan and Prime Minister of Brunei Darussalam, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Thailand between 28 and 29 April 2024, as the guest of the Prime Minister of Thailand, Srettha Thavisin.

During the visit, the parties will have bilateral meetings, where cooperation in the areas of mutual interest will be discussed, such as investments in the halal food industry and petroleum industry. The prime ministers will also witness the signing of agreement in tourism between the two countries, which will promote tourism in various forms, such as wellness tourism, gastronomy tourism, Muslim-friendly tourism, sustainable tourism, and eco-tourism, as well as MICE tourism.

This year, Thailand and Brunei Darussalam are going to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations, which began on 1 January 1984.
